Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction - Free Orientation to 8 week class (2/5-4/2).
The free introductory session introduces participants to mindfulness meditation and the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class. MBSR is an evidence-based class that has been shown to be helpful in managing stress as well as specific clinical symptoms such as anxiety, depression, insomnia and chronic pain. Participants will experience first hand some mindfulness meditation practices and approaches that are taught in the class.
Course includes a on-day retreat on Saturday, March 24, 10:00am-5:00pm at the CAPS on 17 Senior Street, College Avenue Campus. Instructor: Dr Gibbons.
